February 24, 2016

TEAM ENERGY OPERATIONS SKILLS OLYMPICS WINNERS – Winners of the recently  held TeaM Energy  operations skills olympics in the Sual Power Station (SPS) in Pangasinan were awarded by executives of TeaM Energy Corporation (TEC). The Skills Improvement in Control Analysis Tournament or SICAT aims to enhance the operator’s skills in control analysis by responding appropriately to technical issues to prevent any break-down in plant operations. This ultimately improves plant efficiency and availability to the Luzon grid.  This skills olympics is one of its kind here in  the Phlippines and is patterned after The Tokyo Electric Power’s (TEPCO) own skills tournament. Standing from left to right: Dr. Satoshi Tanishima, General Manager, Fuel and Power, Human Resources Development Center, TEPCO; Toshiro Kume, EVP and CFO, TEC; Koichi Tamura, EVP, Operations, TEC; Ruben Licerio, VP/Station Manager, SPS; Noriyuki Ueda, VP, Operations Optimization, TEC. Standing in front are this year’s SICAT Operations Olympics winners: Orlando Mayandoc, Ferdinand Villanueva, and Danilo Farnacio. Together with them are Ric Llanda, AVP, Operations, SPS; Marlon Palomar, AVP, Maintenance Department, SPS; Rodel Daban, AVP, Technical Services Department, SPS; and Maria Teresa Lopez, AVP, Corporate Affairs, TEC.
